BREAD, the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and the University of Verona are organizing a week-long Summer School in Development Economics to be held in Italy in July, 2008.
The School will be held at the summer campus of the University of Verona in Alba Di Canazei in the spectacular Italian Dolomites from June 30 through July 4, 2008. It is intended for PhD students with a small number of spaces available for people who completed their PhDs within the last two years. The program will be taught by Dilip Mookherjee (Boston University), Nava Ashraf (Harvard), Erica Field (Harvard), Imran Rasul (University College, London), Eric Verhoogen (Columbia), and Dean Yang (Michigan).

2005 Summer School in Development Economics
The Bureau for
Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD), in
conjunction with the
Banff International Research Station, offered a summer school in development economics for Ph.D.
students, post-docs, and recent graduates. The summer school was
held June 25 - July 1, 2005 in Alberta, Canada and introduced students to the main concepts in analytical
development economics—methodological, theoretical, and
empirical—as well as to a variety of statistical and modeling
tools.
