Kgzones.e00 (Köppen Geiger climate zones) is an ARC/INFO interchange file. The file can only be used with Geographic Information System (GIS) software, such as ARC/INFO, the file's native format, or by importing it into another GIS software package.

The original source of the climate zones is: Geiger, R. and W. Pohl. 1954. Revision of the Köppen-Geiger Klimakarte der Erde Erdkunde, Vol. 8 (1954), pp. 58-61.
