Assistant Director, Center for International Development
Responsible for managing finance, administration and operations of the Center for International Development. Works with staff to ensure the efficient operation and financial management of the Center, and supervises the Operations/Human Resources Coordinator. Administers a $6 million budget, monitors financial performance of projects, oversees sponsored, gift and endowment contracts, manages monthly variance reporting process and financial reporting to the CID principals and HKS Office of Financial Services. Establishes and disseminates CID's policies, particularly focused on new appointments, finances, general center processes, and CID office space. Provides strategy for administration and internal governance (policies and procedures) within CID. Work with Executive Director in writing annual reports to the HKS leadership and other strategic reports as necessary. Oversees the internal appointment process and manage HR-related issues. Develops budgeting process for new initiatives as they occur. Works closely with the Executive Director to prepare fund-raising proposals and sponsored research grants. Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and university guidelines. Represents CID at public events and internal meetings as needed. The successful candidate will gain exposure to economic and sustainable development issues as well as extensive experience in a high-profile, fast-paced office, alongside friendly and energetic staff.
